Everything Everywhere (EE) Launches 4G Network

Everything EverywhereEverything Everywhere, the parent company of both T-Mobile and Orange, has launched the first 4G network in the UK. Current Orange and T-Mobile customers may have seen the ‘EE’ as the network provider on their phone for 3G and now users can benefit from 4G speed. Branded as the ‘Network for your digital life’, EE’s 4G service will launch in 16 major UK cities by the end of 2012 covering 33% of the UK population.

The current 4G locations are

Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle, Sheffield, Southampton.

You can get EE 4G deals via T-Mobile or Orange and through Carphone Warehouse, Phones4u and Dial-A-Phone.

Tariffs start from £36 with data allowances ranging from 500MB all the way up to 8GB.  Be aware that 4G is more expensive than 3G.  Where as currently there are ‘all you can eat data deals’ that allow unlimited use of 3G, 4G will be priced based on your usage (as 3G was when first launched) so bare this in mind whilst finding the best 4G mobile contract for you
